How has God shown His love for you this week?

This morning I met with 10 dear friends and we read through Romans 16. As we read verses 1 & 2 … “I commend to you our sister Phoebe, a servant of the church at Cenchreae, that you may welcome her in the Lord in a way worthy of the saints, and help her in whatever she may need from you, for she has been a patron of many and of myself as well.” I was blessed by the memory of my grandmother, Mary Saltzman. Her house stood 50 feet from railroad tracks, 6 lines through southwest PA where she fed any hobo, day or night, who entered her, always open, front door. She also drove the planting of the first Assembly of God Church in Jeannette PA. She had 9 children who all grew up in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, many preaching the good news of Jesus until God called them home.

So what is my application of this memory … Feed God’s sheep, share the gospel of Jesus with all humility all the time, feed the hungry when convenient and when not convenient. Continue to raise my children in the gospel, even though they are adults. Share these prophetic writings of the Bible made known to all nations, according to the command of the eternal God, to bring about the obedience of faith.

Heavenly Father, thank you for your faithfulness to my family through the generations. Continue to lead me and my family in your Holy ways, through your discipline and grace. Give us strength and peace to share Your story for Your glory forevermore through Jesus Christ! Amen.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.
